SECURITY FORCE (WANNI) INTER DIVISION DRILL COMPETITION HELD IN ASTONISHING LEVEL
Inter Division Drill Competition was introduced for the first time in security force level as per guidance given by Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General MHSB Perera RWP RSP USP ndu psc to inculcate interest on personal drill, to infuse self discipline and to develop personality and bearing within officers and soldiers.\r\nUnder the supervision and direction of Brigadier KGD Perera, General Officer Commander 62 Division, Inter Division Drill Competition - 2015 was organized by the troops of 62 Division with the coordination and fullest support of the Sri Lanka Navy PANDUKABHAYA - POONEWA. The finals event got underway on 10th July 2015 at the Parade ground in POONEWA NAVY recruit training school \"SHIKSHA\" with the participation of 6 platoons representing SF HQ Wanni, 21,54,56,61 and 62 Divisions. This event was judge by the 5 judge panels consist of qualified Officers and Drill Instructors from other SF HQs. \r\nThe Competition was witnessed by Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General MHSB Perera RWP RSP USP ndu psc, General Officer Commandings , Commader FMA N/C, Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers, Commander North Central Naval Area, The Commandant Naval Recruit Ttraining Center SLNS Shiksha - Poonewa, Officers from under Command Divisions. Large number of other ranks from Army and Naval troops witnessed the event.\r\n The drill Platoon of 17 Sri Lanka National Guard from the 62 Division carried the trophy as the champions in the competition after a close encounter. The 10 Sri Lanka Artillery drill platoon from SF HQ Wanni emerged as runners-up and O/7443 LT MDP Disanayake was the Best Platoon Commander. Winners were award by trophies by the Chief Guest.\r\nMajor General MHSB Perera Commander Security Force (Wanni) after extending his warm congratulations to the winners, present the special memento to The Commandant Naval Recruit Training Center SLNS Shiksha - Poonewa ,amidst a thundering applause. \r\n
