A TAMIL LANGUAGE COURSE FOR OFFICERS AND OTHER RANKS IN WANNI
Following the concept of the Commander of the Army, Tamil Language Course for Officers and other ranks serving in Wanni AOR, was commenced at 2 VIR Headquarters and it was organized with the intention of, enhancing basic Tamil language proficiency, with the support of qualified teachers from National Institute of Language Education and Training.\r\n\r\nThe aim of this course is to improve the knowledge of Tamil language and make comfortable working condition among the civilians with soldiers and it will benefit to improve image of the Army.\r\n\r\nThe training programme was started with 15 student officers and 67 other ranks students on 28 April 2015 and it will be terminated on 08 May 2015. After completing this training the officers and other ranks should render their valuable service to the Army.\r\n \r\nThe Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General MHSB Perera RWP RSP USP ndu psc graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Brigadier General Staff of Security Force Headquarters (Wanni), Commander 211 Brigade, Colonel General Staff of Security Force Headquarters (Wanni), Commanding Officer 2 (V) Vijayaba Infantry Regiment and officers of Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) attended for the event.\r\n
