A dry ration distribution programme had been organized at Marutodai village under Vavuniya North divisional secretariat on 12th September 2014 by 11th Battalion The Gemunu Watch 200 dry ration packs with 5 litre water bottles were distributed among 200 families by teachers, students, and parents of Vishaka Girls collage, Sapugaskanda. These 200 families were selected from Marutodai, Vediwettikallu, Katkulam, Unchalkaddy, Padikudiyerippu villages. Principle of the school Mrs. Priyanthi samaraweera, Deputy principle Ven. Aludeniye Sumanarathana thero, Commander 623 Brigade, Commanding Officer 11th Battalion The Gemunu Watch Lieutenant Colonel DKR Perera were participated for the ceremony. Each dry ration pack was consisted with 10 items such as Rice, Coconut, Dhal, Salt, Sugar, Flour, Tea, Salmons tins, Siddhalepa, Pandols.
