THERE 62 NEW WOMAN SOLDERS JOINED THE RESPECTIVE UNITS FOR SERVE THE MOTHERLAND
After completing 04 months basic military training successfully, the passing out parade of sixty two recruits were held at 4th Battalion Sri Lanka Women Corps Parade square at Madawachchiya around 0800 hrs on 05 August 2014. Lt Col E H V S R Silva GW took the salute as the chief guest. There were more than thousand participants including priests representing three main religions, Senior Army officers, officers, parents and relations of the recruits.
Trophies were awarded for the Other Rank instructors who performed well during training and the recruits who achieved overall best in respective skills. This became a significant moment which inspire the mind set of the parents as they have contributed for the Nation by offering their loved daughters to the Sri Lanka Army.
