Security Force Head Quarters (Wanni), Cycle Race, organized by 21 Division was started at 06.30 am on 04th July 2014.
This race was organized, according to the concept of the commander Security Force (Wanni) and competent authority of resettlement of displaced personnel in Northern Province Major General M H S B Perera RWP RSP USP ndu psc to uplift the sports skills of the soldiers belongs to Security Force Head Quarters (Wanni) region.
4 female cyclists took part for the female race which covered 36 Km and S/2R01930 Sergeant Pushparani WK won the race. The race started from 213 Brigade and ended in front of the main gate of Security Force Head Quarters (Wanni).
The male cycle race which covered 88 Km was started at 22 Gajaba Regiment Pampemadhu and ran on Piraminayankulam, Gajasinghapura, across Medawachchiya and ended in front of the gate Security Force Head Quarters (Wanni). 23 male cyclists took part in the race and S/5Q103289 Private Bopitiya P won the first place. Cyclists from each and every division, brigade and represented the race.
