62 DIVISION FURTHER EXPAND THEIR WELFARE ROLE TOWARDS CIVIL COMMUNITY
Troops from 62 Division further expanded their welfare role on civil community in Mullaitivu district and donated a bulk of ready made apparel to children of age between 5 to 14 years on 09 July 2014. Those clothing items were donated by Hon; Governor of Northern Province, Major General (Rtd) G A Chandasiri RWP VSV USP ndu psc and the donations were distributed among the recipients during a simple event organized at Gajabapura temple premises. Commander 621 Brigade, Colonel I H M N N Herath USP psc, Colonel Coord (Volunteer) of 62 Division, Colonel C U Gamathige, Commanding Officer of 26 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, many Officers of the 62 Division Aria of responsibility and large gathering of villagers were present at the event.
