The Wanni Vesak Zone was declared opened by the Commander Security Force (Wanni), Colonel of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment and Competent Authority for resettling Internal Displaced Persons in Northern Province Major General M H S B Perera RWP RSP ndu psc in the evening on 14 May 2014 at the Security Forces Head Quarters Wanni. The zone exhibited creative Vesak lanterns, according to the theme of ‘Themagula’ the the Lord Buddha’s Birth, Enlightenment and Demise .
Later, the commander participated for the ‘Vesak Bahakthi Gee’ concert presented by the Bethi Gee group of Pannala Sri Seelananda Dhamma School.
The event was successfully conducted with the guidance and cooperation of all the senior officers, officers and other rankers of Security Forces Head Quarters Wanni.
