The 56 Division Headquarter and 561 Brigade organized a Bodhi pooja ceremony at Sri Sambodhi temple in Kanagarayankulam on 04 February 2014. This ceremony was held with the aim of blessing to the country, His Excellency President and to commemorate war heroes, who made supreme sacrifice for the bellowed Motherland. The event was organized coinciding with the 66 Independence Day.
The General Officer Commander 56 Division Brigadier D A R Ranawaka RSP IG, Dr. Chandana Gunarathne (consulter of psychology), Mr. Karunarathne, Mr. Liyanarachchi from Presidential Task Force, military officers, and other rankers were attended for the event.
