According to the concept of The Security Force Commander (wanni), Colonel of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Singha Regiment, Competent Authority for resettling Internal Displaced Personnel in Northern Province Major General MHSB Perera RWP RSP ndu psc, a training programme for enhancing the knowledge of the officers who work within the Wanni region, is being conducted in the Wanni area during these days. One of these series of training programmes was held at the 62 Brigade from 1400hrs to 1900hrs on 10 December 2013 under the supervision of the Brigadier KPD Perera RSP IG. The programme was conducted under the topic of, ‘SRI LANKA ECONOMY, DIPLOMACY AND POLITICS BY YEAR 2020, THE FUTURE SHAPE OF THE MILITARY FORCES IN TERMS OF POLITICAL DEVELOPMENT IN THE NORTH’.
The programme was conducted by an efficient and experienced class of scholars including the Director of disaster management Maj Gen Gamini Hettiarachchi (retired), Dr. RMK Rathnayaka, Lawyer Gomin Dayashri and Dr. Prathibha Mahanamahewa. The scholars enlightened the gathering under different types of headings as SRI LANKA ECONOMY BY 2020, by Dr.Gomin Dayashri, SRI LANKAN DIPLOMACY AND POLITICS BY 2020 by Dr. Prathibha Mahanamahewa and THE FUTURE SHAPE OF THE MILITARY FORCES IN TERMS OF POLITICAL DEVELOPMENT IN THE NORTH.
The topic was widely taken into discussion over 05 hrs and according to the questions asked by the participants and the reply given by the lectures it was proofed that the participant officers were educated and trained in an excellent way throughout the training programme.
The com of SF HQ (W), all the Brigade Commanders and Commanding officers of Wanni area participated for this programme on this day which falls on the World human right day.
