211 Brigade and the ‘Guna Jaya Sathuta’ foundation had organized a charity programme to distribute 750 school exercise books and 210 readymade school uniforms among the children those who belong to families with low income, in Alagalla College, Sri Ganananda College, Parakum Maha Vidyalaya and Madukanda National College with the kind co-operation of Mr. Gamini Kariyawasam resident of Angulana.
While the ‘Guna Jaya Sathuta’ foundation contributed for the school exercise book, Mr. Gamini Kariyawasam contributed for the school uniforms. This event was held on 06 December 2013 with the presence of Civil Affairs Officer 211 Brigade Lieutenant Colonel T M G B Thennakoon.
