TAMIL WOMEN CORPS RECRUITS VISITED SOUTHERN AREA OF SRI LANKA

The newly enlisted 55 recruits to Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force Women’s Corps visited to Southern area of Sri Lanka on 29 November to 01 December 2013 for their monthly educational journey. This educational journey was organized With the direction and instruction of the Commander Security Force (Wanni), Colonel of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Sinhe Regiment and Competent Authority for resettling Internal Displaced Personal in Northern Province Major General MHSB Perera RWP RSP ndu psc by the Commanding Officer 4th Battalion Sri Lanka Women Corps Lieutenant Colonel IDD Fernando SLAPC. The group visited to the surrounding places in “Katharagama pooja boomiya” on 29 November 2013. While visit the area Recruits got opportunity to take part in “Kawadi dance and attend Katharagama dewale for the evening poojawa. On 30th November 2013 they visited Hambanthota Saltern, Mahindha Rajapaksha Port in Hambanthota, Ruhunu Maganpura International Conference hall and Mahindha Rajapaksha International Air port in Maththala on 30th November 2013. They could get an idea about the value of the development of the country by visiting these locations. 2nd in Commander 4th Women Corps Major KMMPK Marasinghe SLWC, Platoon Commander recruit course 2/Lt BAC Sanjeewani co-ordinated this journey successfully.
