In a heartwarming tribute to the 75th anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army, a newly renovated home was handed over to a deserving family of seven members, including a disabled girl, in Parasangaswewa on 15th October 2024. This remarkable project underscores the Army's unwavering commitment to community service and support.
The renovation was completed under the meticulous directions of Major General J P C Peiris RWP RSP ndc, the Commander of the Security Forces (Wanni), with guidance from Major General TA Peiris ptsc - Log Comnd (Wanni) supervised the entire initiative, ensuring its success.
Major M G E M Abeykoon psc Lsc AATO, the Commanding Officer of the 2nd Regiment of Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps, played a pivotal role alongside all ranks of the Battalion and generous donors who dedicated their efforts to constructing this home. Their hard work and dedication were formally recognized during the inauguration ceremony, which was graced by the Commander of the Security Forces (Wanni).
