World Children’s Day Marked with Religious Visit and Donations

In line with the instructions of the Commander Security Forces (Wanni) and under the supervision of the General Officer Commanding, 21 Infantry Division, together with the Commander, 212 Infantry Brigade, a series of special programmes were organized to commemorate World Children’s Day.

On 29 September 2025, 30 children from the Sathuta Children’s Home were given the opportunity to worship at the sacred Ruwanweli Maha Seya, experiencing a spiritually enriching visit.

Further, with the coordination of the General Staff Officer III of the 212 Infantry Brigade, and through the generous financial contribution of Mr. Prasad Jayasekara, a Sri Lankan expatriate residing in Canada, school supplies and refreshments were distributed among 47 students of Thibbatuwagama Primary School, Anuradhapura, on 01 October 2025. This programme was conducted under the leadership of the Commander, 212 Infantry Brigade.
