WELFARE MEASURES DURING CORONA PENDEMIK SITUATION TO WELIOYA CIVILIANS

Considering the outbreak of the COVID 19 virus in the country people in Gajabapura, Mayawewa & Monerawewa villages in Sampathnuwara (Welioya) DS Division faced lot of hardships when buy essential food items during the period of curfew. With the aim of fullfilling needs of families in, tps of 621 Brigade and 14 Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry organized a programme to sell essential food items for civilians with the assistance of MPCS Office Medawachchiya on 25 March 2020. This programme was initiated under the patronage of General Officer Commanding of 62 Division and Commander 621 Brigade.

Following essential items were distributed among the needy families with the participation of Commander 62l Bde, CAO 621 Bde, Commanding Officer of 14(V) SLLI and the tps of 621 Bde & 14(V) SLLI.
