WANNI TROOPS MAKE A NEW YEAR DONATION TO A REHABILITATED LTTE MEMBER
The Ex-LTTE Member, Mr. Balasundaram Sudarsan with two children from Nedunkarni received a new house as the New Year gift, constructed by the Sri Lanka Army troops, on Thursday (16) following patronage extended by the donors.\r\n\r\n\r\nMajor General MHSB Perera RWP RSP USP ndu psc, Commander, Security Force (Wanni) took initiative after hearing that the beneficiaries were living in a shanty-type slum, explored possibilities of building a new house for the family.\r\n\r\n\r\nWith the guidance of the General Officer Commanding 62 Division, Brigadier K G D Perera RWP RSP USP IG, the construction was successfully Completed by the 11 Gamunu Watch troops of the 62 Division.\r\n\r\n\r\nOn Thursday (16) during a simple ceremony, Commander SF HQ (Wanni) symbolically handed over the key of the new house to the family of Mr. Balasundaram Sudarsan and his children.\r\n\r\n\r\nGeneral Officer Commanding 62 Division, Brigade Commander of 623 Brigade, Commanding Officer of 11 GW, senior officers, Government officers and villagers attended the event.
