56 Division had organized a Thai pongal celebrations at Hindu Kovil in Kokeliya with Hindu community on 15 January 2016. A gathering of school children, parents and younger generation of the Santha Sole village flocked with army personnel of 56 Division to observe the Hindu Religious rituals. Mean while members of Santha Sole Sport Club played a friendly cricket match with the soldiers.\r\n\r\nAround 20 number of students were donated a Pack of exercise book as a gifts on this pleasurable moment by the General Officer Commanding of 56 Division Brigadier IP Ranasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc who graced the occasion as the chief Guest.
