The newly appointed Chief Prelate and the Administrator of the Shrine of our Lady of Madhu, Reverend Father Peppi Sosai was warmly and venerably welcomed by Security Force (Wanni) during a ceremony conducted on directions of the Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General Kumudu Perera RWP RSP VSV USP ndu on 15 September 2018.
The High Massto symbolize the installment of the new Chief Prelate took place at 0930 conducted by Rev Father Neil. Considerable number of troops under Security Force (Wanni) together with devout Catholics flocked the sacred church premises seeking blessings during the High Mass.
Aim of Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General Kumudu Perera RWP RSP VSV USP ndu in arranging the Mass was to enhance reconciliation among all ethnic and religious groups in Wanni region.
Organizing this noble event was done by troops of 61 Division under the careful supervision of General Officer Commanding - 61 Division Brigadier K D C G J Thilakarathne RWP RSP.
