WANNI COMMANDER MAKES OFFICIAL VISITS TO UNDER COMMAND FORMATIONS

The Commander Security Forces - (Wanni) Major General D M H D Bandara RWP RSP USP visited 65 Infantry Division, its’ under Command Brigades and Battalions on 08th & 09th February 2021 in Thunukkai area.

At the first day the visiting Commander was honored with a Guard Turnout at the Headquarters of 65 Infantry Division and invited to plant a sapling at Division premises by the General Officer Commanding 65 Infantry Division Major General D M T Dissanayaka RSP USP. Thereafter a briefing on role & tasks of 65 Infantry Division was conducted by the General Officer Commanding followed by a field visit to Headquarters 652 Infantry Brigade. There The Commander is invited to plant a sapling and made the visit to10 Sri Lanka Light Infantry.

On the Second day the Commander was honored with a Guard Turnout at Headquarters 653 Infantry Brigade followed by planting a sapling in the Brigade premises. Thereafter Commander Security Forces - Wanni visited headquarters 653 Infantry Brigade. Latter he visited the Madu Church and he is blessed by the Chief Priest. Then the Commander attended a programme of distribution of school items to the students of School of Madu Sothiyanagar. The visit is concluded after visiting 24th Gajaba Regiment.

General Officer Commanding 65 Infantry Division Major General D M T Dissanayaka RSP USP, Commander 651 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier K M W Bandara RSP, Commander 652 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier H M U Herath RWP USP, Commander 653 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier G S Fonseka and Senior Officers of Security Force Headquarters (Wanni), 65 Infantry Division and Battalions attended the events.
