WANNI COMMANDER MAKES OFFICIAL VISITS TO UNDER COMMAND FORMATIONS

The recently appointed Commander Security Forces - (Wanni) Major General D M H D Bandara RWP RSP USP visited 21 Infantry Division and it’s under Command Brigades and Battalions on 21st& 22nd January 2021 in Anuradapuraya area.

First day the visiting Commander was honored with a Guard Turnout at Headquarters 21 Infantry Division and invited to plant a sapling at Divison premises by the General Officer Commanding, of 21 Infantry Division Major General H L V M Liyanage RWP RSP ndu. Thereafter a briefing on role & tasks of 21 Infantry Division was done by the GOC which followed with a troop address and camp visit and the field visit to Headquarters 213 Infantry Brigade and invited to plant a sapling at camp premises by the Brigade Commander. Thereafter a briefing on role & tasks of Bde was done by the Brigade Commander. Commander Security Forces - Wanni visited Regional Ordnance Depot- Gajasinghapura, 5(V)Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) and 5 Sri Lanka National Guard. On the way to field visit Commander Security Forces - Wanni visited Virukekulu Pree School at Anuradhapura .

Second day the visiting Commander was honored with a Guard Turnout at Headquarters 7 Sri Lanka Armourd Crops. Thereafter a briefing on role & tasks of unit was done by the Commanding Officer which followed with a troop address and camp visit. After Commander Security Forces - Wanni visited to headquarters 211 Brigade. Thereafter a briefing on role & tasks of BDE was done by the Brigade Commander which followed with a camp visit. Latter on 2 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment and 2 Mechanized infantry Regiment camps visited by Commander Security Forces - Wanni.
