WANNI COMMANDER MAKES AN OFFICIAL VISIT TO NEWLY REDEPLOYED 65 INFANTRY DIVISION

The official visit of the Commander Security Force - (Wanni) Major General WLPW Perera RWP RSP ndu to 65 Infantry Division - Thunukkai and it’s under Command Brigades and Battalions was held on 09th January 2021.

The visiting Commander was honoured with a Guard Turnout at Headquarters 65 Infantry Division and invited to plant a sapling at Division premises by the General Officer Commanding, of 65 Infantry Division Major General DMT Dissanayake RSP USP. Thereafter a briefing on role & tasks of 65 Infantry Division was conducted by the GOC, followed by a Troops Address and a field visit to Headquarters 651 Infantry Brigade, Bn Trg School and 19 Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI).

General Officer Commanding of 65 Infantry Division, All Brigade Commanders, Senior Staff Officers of 65 infantry Division and Battalion Commanders attended in the series of events.
