On October 24th, 2022, Mr. Douglas Sonnek, the recently appointed Deputy Chief of Mission, US Embassy, paid a visit to Security Force Headquarters (Wanni), after taking up duties in August. On that occasion, Lieutenant Colonel Anthony Nelson, U.S. Senior Defense Official and Defense Attaché, Mr. Seth Nevins, Assistant Defense Attaché and Ms. Anamika Chakravorty (Political Officer) were accompanied. The delegation had a discussion with the Commander Security Force (Wanni) and the senior officials to get familiar with the area.
