Visit of Hon. MP Gunarathne Weerakoon to Bogaswewa Village
The re-settlement Minister Hon. MP Gunarathne Weerakoon visited the Bogaswewa village on 10 June 2013 to witness the project progress of the village. At present two thousand families were re-settled in Bogaswewa village by coordinating of 56 divisions along with the government’s re-settlement programme. The Hon. Minister held the public meeting under the patronage of Deputy Chief Sanga Nayaka for Northern Province, Saddarmakeerthi Sri SumanaSiddartha Ven. Atambagaskada Kalyanathisayabidana Nayake Thero. Hon. Minister distributed Tin sheets among the re-settlers andpromised to provide 10 x Tube wells, Housing projects and 10 xSewing machines for the villagers.
The event was organized by the General Officer Commanding 56 Division Brigadier D A R Ranawaka RSP IG. The public meeting was held and the assistance Secretary of the Ministry of Resettlement Mr.NikerinKhan, Director General Authority of resettlement Mr. T Nimal,the Chairman of resettlement Mr.Buddi Pashaperuma, Divisional Secretary Vauniya (V) Mr. MS Janaka, Chief organizer Mr. Dharmapala -Vavuniya district (SLFP), distinguish guests and large number of villagers were present to grace the event.
