Under the guidance of the General Officer Commanding 56 Division Brigadier D A R Ranawaka RSP IG, the Divisional Headquarters, Its under command Brigades and Battalions organized several religious activities/events on account of Vesak festival, offering of alms giving to one hundred soldiers who observed Sil at Kanagarayankulam Rajamaha Viharaya, Troops of 561 Brigade organized a Dansal with the contribution of its units under command and treated more than 5000 Vesak sightseers/civilians in the area with lunch followed by BoodhiPuja at Kanagarayankulam Rajamaha Viharaya. Coincided with displaying of colorful Vesak lanterns at 56 divisional Headquarters’ premises and evening treat of sago for all Vasak sightseers.
