In parallel with the Wesak Poya day, under the guidance of the General Officer Commanding, the 62 infantry division - Major General Janaka Ranasinghe troops of 62 Infantry Division presented Vesak Lanterns in front of division headquarters on 05 May 2023. Further, 62 Infantry division troops organized a Roti and Koththamalli (Coriander) Dansala in front of the division Headquarters. The GOC has declared open both events with the participation of all officers and other ranks of the division and a large number of local residents have participated in this event.
