TWO VILLAGERS SAFELY EVACUATED FROM ISOLATED FLOOD AREA

Due to adversary weather condition two villagers has been isolated Ellewewa, Kebithigollawa, both villagers were safely evacuated and provided immediate assistance by 5 (V) Gajaba Regiment troops on 19 January 2025

The rescue mission was carried out under the instructions of Major General J P C Peiris RWP RSP ndc, guidance of Major General W M S C K Wanasinghe RSP USP General Officer Commanding 21 Infantry Division and close supervision by the Commander 211 Infantry Brigade Brigadier T D P Siriwardana psc.
