In respect to the contribution of the Troops of 68 Infantry Division an excursion was conducted to visit the Jaffna Peninsula on 30 and 31 December 2023. The excursion was planned on guidance of the General Officer Commanding 68 Infantry Division Major General Senaka Kasthurimudali
The visit consisted with 04 Officers and 35 Other Rankers and 03 Civil Servants From Division and it’s Under Commanded Formations. During the visit, Troops visited EPS War Heroes Monument, Northernmost Notch in Sri Lanka at Sakkotei, Keeramalai Pond, Dambakola Patuna Sangamitta Temple, Kadurugoda Ancient Viharaya, Bottomless Well in Nilavarai, Nallur Kandaswamy Kovil, Jaffna Library, Jaffna Fort, Nagadeepa Purana Viharaya, General Denzil Kobbekaduwa Memorial, Sangupiddi Bridge and Pooneryn Fort.
