Troops of 613 Brigade conducted a Shramadhana campaign to clean the premises of the Madhu church on 12 November 2018.
According to the instructions and guidance of General Officer Commanding 61 Division Brigadier KDCGJ Tilakarathne RWP RSP, Officers and Other Ranks of 26 Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry and 24 Battalion Gajaba Regiment under 613 Brigade took part in this Shramadhana Campaign with the intention of keeping the Church premises and surrounding clean and free from Dengue as large number of devotees visit the shrine of Lady Madhu Church weekly.
After the end of event, the Administrator of Madhu Church Reverend Father Peppi Sosai paid his sincere gratitude for all troops who participated in the Sramadana campaign. The overlooking Commander Brigade 613 Brigade Colonel KLSS Liyanagama RWP RSP directed troops under him to conclude successfully the programme.
