Troops of 5 (V) Gajaba Regiment promptly responded to an emergency at the Maradanmaduwa tank bund at Kapugollewa which was slightly damagedue to the adverse weather condition. Under the guidance of General Officer Commanding 21 Infantry Division Major General WMSCK Wanasinghe RSP USP and with the supervision of Commander 211 Infantry Brigade, 5(V) Gajaba Regiment troops restored the tank bund by using sand bags on 28 November 2024.
