In view of enhancing the health condition of soldiers under 56 Division, a medical campaign was organised by troops of Headquarters - 56 Division on 15 August 2018 at the auditorium of Division Headquarters in Kokeliya.
According to a request made from the Regional Directorate office of Health Services in General Hospital Vavuniya, this medical clinic was launched to diagnose Chronic Kidney Diseases, Dental Ailments and Cardiac Diseases prevailing among soldiers under 56 Division.
A medical team comprising of 10 staff members under Dr Kushan Rajakaruna and Dr Niroshan Alwis contributed their invaluable support to make success this medical clinic. Over 20 Officers and 150 Other Ranks representing all under command formations to 56 Division were facilitated through the programme.
Officers and Other Ranks of Headquarters 56 Division coordinated all administrative requirements in organising this medical programme under the close supervision of General Officer Commanding of 56 Division Brigadier Prabath Dematanpitiya ndu psc.
