TROOPS OF 54 INFANTRY DIVISION PLANTS 325 SAPLINGS IN NORTH OF WILPATHTHU

Troops of 54 Infantry Division planted 325 saplings such as Mee, Kohoba, Tamarind, Kaaya, Ketakala, Maila and Kubuk during the event in North of Wilpaththu at Kallaru, Mannar District coincided with the 10th Anniversary of 54 Division on 22 September 2020.

Planting of this Sapling was conducted as a part of the “THURU MITHURU NAWA RATAK” reforestation project implemented under the supervision of Major General Dhammika Jayasinghe, Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General Indrajith Bandara RWP RSP USP ndu, General Officer Commanding of 54 Infantry Division graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and Commander 542 Infantry Brigade, Officers and Troops of 8 Battalion the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment arranged this event
