The cornerstone laying ceremony for another house for a needy family of R. Madushanka at Mahadiulwewa in Madawachchiya got underway at 1042hrson 12 Jan 2022 under the patronage of Brigadier Rohan Medagoda RSP USP psc IG - Commmander 623 Infantry Brigade on the direction of Commander Security Forces (Wanni) Major General Champaka Ranasinghe RWP RSP and Major General Upali Gunasekara RWP USP IG the General Officer Commanding of 62 Infantry Division.
The financial assistance will provide by Mr. Malaka Janayasingha and construction support will be offered by the troops of 5 (V) Gajaba Regiment under the supervision of Commanding Officer Major Dammika Herath. Assistant Divisional Secretary (Medawachchiya), Grama Niladari, several government officials and villagers attend the occasion.
