TROOPS OF 26 SRI LANKAN LIGHT INFANTRY START THEIR BATTALION TRAINING

In line with the concept initialised by the Commander of the Army in moulding a capacity based soldier each Security Force Headquarters are conducting several training programmes annually. In that context, Battalions under Security Force (Wanni) are engaging in Battalion Trainings periodically according to the directions of implemented by the training manual of Directorate of Training. As the initial battalion training in year 2019, 26 Sri Lanka Light Infantry started its Battalion Training on 07 January 2019 at Battalion Training School Pampemadu and it is scheduled to be run till 06 March 2019.

General Officer Commanding of 61 Division Brigadier K D C G J Thilakarathne RWP RSP marked the commencement of Battalion Training conducting a valuable lecture on Leadership and Etiquettes to be accustomed by military personnel.

The training session will be conducted with participation of 10 Officers and 345 Other Ranks of 26 Sri Lanka Light Infantry.

The Commander 611 Brigade Colonel L D S S Liyanage RSP USP psc Hdmc together with Commanding Officer of 26 Sri Lanka Light Infantry Major H R A J K K Basnayake RWP RSP were present the occasion.
