TROOPS OF 21 INFANTRY DIVISION ENGAGE IN FLOOD RELIEF OPERATIONS

In response to the emergency situation caused by the release of water from the Yan Oya reservoir in Parangiyawadiya, Horowpathana due to adverse weather condition, troops of 5 (V) Gajaba Regiment, under the direction of Major General J P C Peiris RWP RSP ndc, Commander Security Force (Wanni), and with the guidance of Major General W M S C K Wanasinghe RSP USP General Officer Commanding of 21 Infantry Division and with the supervision of Commander 211 Infantry Brigade, assist the people who were unable to across the flood area by using Uni-Buffel vehicles on 28 November 2024.
