T -20 CRICKET TOURNAMENT CONDUCTED IN MANNAR TO ENHANCE THE PEACE, HARMONY AND RECONCILIATION AMONG THE COMMUNITY

A twenty 20 cricket tournament was organised by Alpatha Sports club – Uppukulam on 23 September 2019 at Alpatha Sports ground – Uppukulam in collaboration with 54 Division The event was organized to enhance the peace, harmony and reconciliation among the civil community in Mannar District.

Aksharian Tigers Sports club – Mannar was awarded as the champions of the tournament after the final match with Kashmir Lions Sports club – Mannar.

General Officer Commanding 54 Division Brig AAIJ Bandara RWP RSP USP ndu graced price giving as the chief guest. Winners were awarded with Rs 60000/= cash price while runners-up was awarded with Rs 30000/= cash price.

Chief Priest of Murvidiya Jummah mosque, Senior Officers of the 54 Division and large number of civilians from the area participated in the event.
