SRAMADANA CAMPAIGN HELD AT 62 INFANTRY DIVISION

As per the directions given by Major General Upali Gunasekara, the General Officer Commanding 62 Infantry Division a Sramadhana campaign has been conducted by the troops of 5 (V) Battalion the Gajaba Regiment, under the instruction of Brigadier Rohan Medagoda Commander 623 Infantry Brigade and with the supervision of Major Dammika Herath Commanding Officer 5 (V) GR at Horowpothana on 24th October 2021.

The aforesaid programme was organized together with 01 × 40 troops from 5 (V) GR, 35 x members from farmer’s society – Kalpewewa, and they cleaned the Kalpe Tank bund length of 1300 m which provides water for 400 acres of paddy fields and, facilitates 120 farming families during the Maha season.
