SPLENDOUR OF WESAK AT MIHINTALAYA SULUGULU VIHARAYA
\r\nA charming and pious ‘Bethi Gee Programme’ had been organized on 22nd May 2016 at Mihintalaya Sulugulu Vihara premises by the troops of 21 Division under the guidance and supervision of the Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General MHSB Perera RWP RSP USP ndu psc. \r\n\r\nPrior to the event the street leading to the Sulugulu Viharaya form Galmaduwa Junction had been named as Pothane Sri Dhammananda Nahimi Mawatha and the naming plank was declared opened by the Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General MHSB Perera RWP RSP USP ndu psc who was accompanied by the Chief Guest Rev. Pothane Sri Dhammananda Nayaka Thero. Later a sago alms hut (Sav Dansela) was held for all the participants both military personnel as well as civilians. \r\n\r\nWith the pleasure of religious thoughts gathered after being the audience for the ‘Bethi Gee Programme’ all enjoyed the dinner at the Rice Dansela held at the Vihara premises. The Chief Prelate of Sulugulu Viharaya including other Rev. Theros, General Officer Commanding of 21 Division, all the senior officers and officers of 21 Division and about three thousand of civilians participated for these series of event to commemorate the Wesak Full Moon Poya Day as well as sixtieth anniversary of Ven. Pothane Sri Dhammananda Nayaka Thero’s ordained life.\r\n
