A special ceremony to collect fresh rice for the New Rice Festival was held at the Mulankavil Agrarian Service Center from 1030 hrs to 1145 hrs on 22.03.2022 in Mulankavil Grama Niladhari Division of 19th Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry.
In the special ceremony, the harvest of the Maha season was collected to be handed over to the Sri Maha Bodhi in Anuradhapura by the Agrarian Services Center of 651 Infantry Brigade AOR. The 55th New Rice Festival will be held on 03 April 2022 by the Agrarian Services Center. 01 x 03 troops from 651 Infantry Brigade and the deputy director of Department of Agriculture – KLN District have participated for the event.
