THE SECURITY FORCES (WANNI ) INTER DIVISION ATHLETIC MEET 2012
The Security Forces (Wanni ) Inter Division Athletic Meet – 2012 was held on 5 April 2013 under the direction of the Security Forces Commander (wanni) at the play ground of University of Rajarata Mihintale. The event was organized with the aim of developing the sporting ability and the comradeship among the troops of 21, 54, 56, 61, 62 Divisions and the Forward Maintenance Area (North Central).
The Security Forces Commander (Wanni) Major General Boniface Perera RWP RSP psc ndu graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
The Division Commanders, Brigade Commanders and Battalion Commanders participated at the occasion along with their troops. The 62 Division became the Champions whilst 21 and 61 Divisions became the joint runners up of the Athletic Meet - 2012.
The event was more colorful and dramatic with the gymnastic display by the school children of Swarnapali Balika Maha Vidyalaya and the PT display and March-past by the athletes followed by the Musical Evening. The event was organized by the 21 Division.
