In celebration of World Children's Day 2025, Mrs. Anushani Kulatunga, the President Seva Vanitha Branch of the Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps along with Commander Security Forces (Wanni) organized a special event featuring the distribution of most needed school stationery program and a musical performance for 47 children at Atambagaskada National Mix School in Vavuniya. Mrs. Anushani Kulatunga, the President of the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps graced the occasion as the Chief Guest together with Major General K M P S B Kulatunga RSP ndc psc, the Commander of the Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps and they were warmly received by two children, who greeted them with a traditional offering of a sheaf of betel leaves.
The program was organized under the blessings of Ven. Atambagaskada Sri Kalyana Thissabhidhana Thero, the Northern Provincial Chief Sanghanayaka and Chief Incumbent of Atambagaskada Temple and the patronage of well wishers who contributed their donations to make the event a success. The event commenced with the traditional lighting of the oil lamp, marking the beginning of the celebration.
Afterwards, a group photograph was taken to commemorate the event followed by tea for the school children. In addition, Senior Staff Officers, Staff Officers and Other Rank staff of the Security Force Headquarters (Wanni), Brigade Commanders of 561 and 563 Infantry Brigades along with teachers of the Atambagaskada National Mix School and parents participated in the event contributing to the success.
