SECURITY FORCE (WANNI) VESTS ANOTHER HOUSE FOR A LESS PRIVILEGED FAMILY

Another newly constructed house was declared opened on 09 June 2019 by Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General H J S Gunawardena RSP VSV USP ndc psc.

The newly constructed house was vested to Mr Ajith Premakumara living with his wife and four children in great despair due to economic constraints for a long time at Pragathipura in Padhavi Sri Pura. After observing this, Colonel General Staff of Headquarter Security Force (Wanni), Colonel P A M Peiris RSP USP psc, through his personal affiliations, coordinated Mr Lesley Saman Marasinghe living in Australia was keenly waiting for an opportunity to be a helping hand to a destitute family in providing financial requirements.

Construction of house was commenced on 02 May 2019 and able to complete within nearly 70 days as the untiring commitment excelled by troops of 622 Brigade with the direction of Commander 622 Brigade Colonel S B Amunugama RWP RSP and under the supervision of General Officer Commanding of 62 Division Brigadier J M U D Jayasinghe.

Mr Lesley Saman Marasinghe excelling his generosity more sponsored financially to provide essential household appliances to the beneficiary.

Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) has coordinated to construct 07 permanent houses within this year for deprived families in Medawachchiya, Puleliya, Selalihinigama, Ganehspuram, Pampeimadu and Welioya areas.

The opening ceremony of house was graced by Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General H J S Gunawardena RSP VSV USP ndc psc as the chief guest.

The donor Mr Lesley Saman Marasinghe together with his family, General Officer Commanding of 62 Division Brigadier J M U D Jayasinghe, Commander 622 Brigade Colonel S B Amunugama RWP RSP, Colonel General Staff of Headquarter Security Force (Wanni) Colonel P A M Peiris RSP USP psc Senior Officers representing Headquarters Security Force (Wanni), 62 Division and 622 Brigade family members of the beneficiary and many villagers too were present at the ceremony.
