SECURITY FORCE WANNI SWIMMING POOL WAS OPEN FOR MILITARY AND CIVIL
Much needed swimming pool of the Security Forces (Wanni) was declared open by the Commander Security Force Headquarters Wanni Major General MHSB Perera RWP RSP USP ndu psc on 22 July 2015 In Ranasevapura at Anuradhapura. Fully equipped swimming pool was constructed by the troops of 21 Division and the CES with the guidance of the Security Force Commander wanni and under the supervision of the GOC 21 Division.rnSplendid opening ceremony included chanting of Seth Pirith by maha sanga, swimming events participated by Army swimmers, school children from Anuradhapura, a water polo game by the players of Army water polo pool and a dazzling water ballet by the girls from Mahamya Collage Kandy. Whilst addressing the ceremony, Security Force Commander wanni stated the importance of swimming as sports as well as a medicine, further he informed everyone that pool is open to the Officers of tri Servicers and Police, Soldiers and their families as well as the school children in and around ANURADHAPURA who are interested in swimming. rnAlong with the Commander Security Force Headquarters Wanni, Major General MHSB Perera RWP RSP USP ndu psc, GOCs, Bde Comds, COs, officers and large number of ORs attended the ceremony. Invitees from Navy, Air Force, Police, state and civil sectors and school children participated to the event. General Officer Commanding of 21 Division Major General AS De Z Wickramarathne USP ndu psc IG gave away the thanking speech concluding a very successful event.
