SECURITY FORCE WANNI OFFERS A BUDHDHA STATUE FOR SRI BODHI DHAKSHINARAMA TEMPLE

Unvailing of newly constructed parapet wall at Sri Bodhi Dhakshinarama Temple took place in the presence of Chief Prelate of the Temple, Most Venerable Siyambalagaswewa Wimalasara thero on 19 April 2019. At the same event a sacred Buddha statue and a statue of Lord Ganesh too were unveiled for veneration of Buddhist and Hindu devotees.

The sacred Buddha Statue was donated by the owners of Raja Jewellers, Mr Athula Eliyapura and Mrs Asanga Eliyapura and the statue of Lord Ganesh was donated by Member of Municipal Council Vavuniya, Mr Janaka Ravindra Fernando.

Construction of the Parapet Wallwas carried out by troops under Security Force (Wanni) on the directions of Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General Kumudu Perera RWP RSP VSV USP ndu. The event was conducted by the Chief Prelate of Sri Bodhi Dhakshinarama Temple, Most Venerable Siyambalagaswewa Wimalasara thero.

Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General Kumudu Perera RWP RSP VSV USP ndu along with SSP - Vavuniya Division Mr T M S M Thennnakoon graced the event.
