SECURITY FORCE (WANNI) CONTINUES THE HOUSING PROJECT WITH ANOTHER NEW HOUSE

Taking another step forward for the housing project launched by Security Force (Wanni) under the supervision of Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General Rohitha Dharmasiri ndu psc, a newly constructed house at Boogodawewa, Thanthirimale was declared open on 28 November 2019.

Mr P Darmasena and his family were undergoing lot of hardships which constrain them to build even a primary shelter to reside. Setting as example to others, a Sri Lankan living in Australia Mr Lesli Saman Marasinghe through the coordination of Commander 212 Brigade Colonel Anil Peiris RSP USP psc stepped forward to sponsor for constructing a fully facilitated house for Mr P Darmasena and his family.

Construction of this house was under taken by troops of 5 Battalion of Sri Lanka National Guard with the guidance of Commander 212 Brigade and under the supervision of General Officer Commanding 21 Division Major General Kumar Jayapathirana RSP.

The newly constructed house is comprised with all facilities such as sitting area, dining room, bed rooms, etc and was gifted with essential house hold items, electric appliances and furniture. In addition, the beneficiary was much fortunate to be facilitated with a modern electric tube well.

The New home was vested with the family giving a prime place to religious observances. The key of house was auspiciously handed over to the head of household during a brief ceremony by the Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General Rohitha Dharmasiri ndu psc who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

The General Officer Commanding of 21 Division Major General Kumar Jayapathirana, Mr: Lesli Saman Marasinghe and his family members, Commander of 212 Brigade Colonel Anil Peiris RSP USP psc, Chief Civil Coordinating Officer Headquarters Security Force (Wanni), Senior Military Officers of Headquarters Security Force (Wanni), the Commanding Officer of 5 Battalion Sri Lanka National Guard and family members of beneficiary along with number of civilians in the village too were present at the ceremony.

The day’s programme was come to the end with the visit made to Abimansala Ranaviru Sevana by the Commander of 212 Brigade Colonel Anil Peiris RSP USP psc, and Mr: Lesli Saman Marasinghe and his family members to see the wellbeing and give some gifts to inward disabled war heroes.
