Depicting the unbounded generosity, Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) under the guidance of Major General Kumudu Perera RWP RSP VSV USP ndu Commander Security Force (Wanni) together with philanthropic members of ‘Sadhaham Suwa’ Buddhist Association in General Hospital, Vavuniya construct a new house for Ms. R Rasamalar, a helpless unwell Tamil lady living with several difficulties in Kurumankadu remote village.
The newly constructed house was vested to Ms R Rasamalar on a simple ceremony held on 03 January 2019 with the participation of General Secretary Vavuniya Mr I M Haniffa along with Commander 211 Brigade Colonel Tharaka Rathnasekara USP as chief guests.
Construction of house was launched by troops under Security Force (Wanni) with the financial sponsorship of doctors and medical staff of ‘Sadhaham Suwa’ Budhhist Association in General Hospital, Vavuniya.
Deputy Director of District Health Service Vavuniya, Medical Staff of General Hospital Vavuniya, Senior Officers of Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) participated in this charitable event.
Such type of social welfare projects are being carried out by Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) along with its all under command formations according to a concept initialised by the Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General Kumudu Perera RWP RSP VSV USP ndu in a way of enhancing the reconciliation among all ethnic groups in Wanni region.
