On an initiative of Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake RWP RSP VSV USP USACGSC, an awareness programme was organised under the directions of Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General Kumudu Perera RWP RSP VSV USP ndu to educate troops under Security Force (Wanni) on moral behaviour of a solder and the way of being a resourceful employee for the effectiveness, efficiency and productivity of the organisation. The programme was held on 27 December 2018 for an audience of over 650 Officers and Other Ranks representing all under command formations to Security Force Headquarters (Wanni).
Senior Psychological Councillor Mr. Samantha Nilmalgoda and the Drug Education and Information Officer Mr. I M Chamara Predeep Karunarathne conducted the programme on anti-social trends, addiction of drugs, crimes and misuse of social media which could be lead solders out from their prime role and duty. He elaborated several important facts to be relevant to make self-behavioural patterns which morally be valued and exemplary to become an effective employee in the organisation. Further, these two knowledgeable and well experienced lectures emphasized the importance of restoring moral values and ethics in the society to prevent crimes, corruptions and all other anti-social activities.
Representing the Commander Security Force (Wanni), Colonel General Staff of Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) Colonel Anil Peiris RSP USP psc graced the programme.
Senior Staff Officers of Security Force Headquarters (Wanni), many Senior Officers, Officers and large number of Other Ranks from all under command formations enthusiastically attended the programme.
