In view of enhancing the religious harmony between the community in Wanni region, troops of Headquarters Security Force (Wanni) under the direct supervision of Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General Rohitha Dharmasiri ndu psc organised a Christmas Carol at St Joseph’s Church in Medawachchiya on 22 December 2019.
During this programme, the students of St Joseph’s Sunday School presented a programme of reciting hymns and some dancing items related to Christmas festival. The programme was much interested in a nativity play staged by parents of the students of St Joseph’s Sunday School.
As another charity, the church priests donated spectacles for some selected Rev Fathers and Sisters who are having eye defects. At the end of the programme Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) distributed some gifts for all students of St Joseph’s Sunday School.
