Security Force Headquarter (Wanni) organised a valuable and a timely lecture on the “Impact of Religion for World Peace” on 21 June 2018 at the Headquarters Auditorium. This scholarly discussion was based on ethnic and religious similarities among communities and was focussed towards reconciliation and enhancing virtuous rapport between all communities.
The programme was organised on instructions of the Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General Kumudu Perera RWP RSP VSV USP ndu and attended by over 80 Officers and 600 Other Ranks from all under command formations of Security Force Headquarters (Wanni).
The Islamic Priest, Mavulavi Mohamad Ersharad Rawahi conducted this valuable programme to educate all under Security Force (Wanni). The reverend highlighted the importance of belief in any religion and the consequences of behaving according to the path preached by every religious leaders. Further, he emphasised the way of achieving satisfaction and harmony through the beliefs and sermons of various religions.
The Colonel General Staff of Security Force Headquarters (Wanni), Colonel D B C Jayasinghe RSP psc was the Chief Guest of the day’s occasion. All Officers and Other Ranks serving in Wanni Headquarters participated in this valuable programme.
