As per the concept of Commander, Security Forces (Wanni), to launch the “Northern Coconut Triangle” in boosting the production, 541 Infantry Brigade troops of 54 Infantry Division distributed 800 more coconut saplings on 11 December 2023 in Mannar district.
Families living in Mannar area received these saplings free of charge thanks to the initiatives of the Commander, Security Forces (Wanni) and the Coconut Cultivation Board which supplied saplings. Troops of 10 (Volunteer) Gemunu Watch and 5 (Volunteer) Mechanized Infantry Regiment are coordinated this event.
