SECURITY FORCE HEADQUARTERS (WANNI) CONTINUES MORE ITS HOUSING PROJECT FOR NEEDY

Two great philanthropists Mr Dhamith Kahavita and Ms Marasinghe living in Australia joined hand with the Housing Project launched by Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) under the supervision of Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General Jagath Gunawardena RSP VSV USP ndc psc with the aim of providing permanent houses for destitute families living with sever economical hardships in Wanni region.

Mr Dhamith Kahavita and Ms Marasinghe, through their benevolence will be donating their hard earned money to construct two houses for Mr. H K Ajantha Wickramarachchi living in Ranpathvila, Thanthirimalaya and Mr P Dharmasena in Bogodawewa, Thanthirimalaya. These two philanthropists were coordinated by the Commander 212 Brigade Colonel Anil Peiris RSP USP psc through his personal affiliation.

On instructions of Commander Security Force (Wanni), General Officer Commanding 21 and Division Major General Kumar Jayapathirane RSP tasked troops of 5 Sri Lanka National Guard to commence the construction of houses while providing relevant technical assistance.

The foundation stones to construct these houses were laid by the Commander 212 Brigade Colonel Anil Peiris RSP USP psc during a simple ceremony held on 15 September 2019.

Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) has already constructed 10 houses during last eight months for destitute families living in Madawachchiya, Vavuniya, Puleliya, Welioya and some other parts in the Wanni region. As well the construction of another house was commenced on 16 September 2019 and it is in progress at Seeppukulama, Kahatagadigiliya.

Senior Officers of Headquarters Security Force (Wanni) along with 21 Division, beneficiaries and their family members and number of villagers were present at the occasion of laying the foundation stone.
