SECURITY FORCE HEADQUARTERS WANNI CONTINUES TO CONSTRUCT ANOTHER HOUSE FOR A NEEDY FAMILY

As a continuation of being a supportive hand for underprivileged people in Wanni region, Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) under the direct supervision of the Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General Kumudu Perera RWP RSP VSV USP ndu initiated to construct another house for a needy family of Mr H M Priyantha Premasiri resided at No 31 Veherawewa, Budhdhangala in Padhavi Parakramapura.

The destitute family of Mr H M Priyantha Premasiri was undergoing thousands of difficulties without having a solid source of income.

After observing difficulties undergoing by this destitute family, Commander - 623 Brigade under the guidance of General Officer Commanding of 62 Division Brigadier Dhammika Jayasinghe opted out them as beneficiaries to provide a house.

A great philanthropist Mrs Priyangani Perera living in Australia provided her generous support of funding the finance for the construction of this house with all facilities such as electricity, water, etc.

During a simple ceremony held on 23 June 2019, the foundation stone was auspiciously laid by Colonel General Staff of Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) Colonel Anil Peiris RSP USP psc.

Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) has already provided 06 houses for deprived families living in Madhawachchiya, Selalihinigama, Ganeshapuram, Pampeimadu, Galenbindunu Wewa and Welioya areas. Construction of another three more houses for deprived at several far off areas in Wanni region are in progress and this is the 10th one of the housing project. All these houses have been constructed by troops under Security Force (Wanni) with the great sponsorship of donors coordinated from island wide.

The occasion of laying the foundation stone was headed by the Colonel General Staff of Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) Colonel Anil Peiris RSP USP psc.

Civil Affairs Officers of Headquarters - Security Force (Wanni), Headquarters of 62 Division and 622 Brigade, Commanding Officer of 11 Sri Lanka Artillery Regiment, the beneficiary Mr H M Priyantha Premasiri along with his family and number of villagers too were present at the occasion.
